  • Denise Austin shared her favorite “easy move” to “tone, tighten, and lift your booty.”
  • It’s a simple one to fit into spare moments during the busy holiday season.
  • “You can even do this in the kitchen or in your bedroom before you get ready for a holiday party!” she wrote.

Never skip glute day—that’s what Denise Austin always says, which is why the fitness mogul shared one “easy move” to “tone, tighten, and lift your booty” that you can squeeze in (pun intended) anywhere, any time.

In an Instagram video demonstration, Austin called it one of her favorite moves for the derriere. “It’s a squat with a kick,” she said. She started by extending her arms out long for balance, then lowered her bum near the floor, distributing weight evenly between both feet. Then, she returned to a standing position while simultaneously lifting a bent knee up and out. “Squat and lift,” she added. “Do 10 on each side.”

It’s as simple as that. “Try it today and tell me if you feel the burn… even a few minutes makes such a difference!” Austin captioned the post. “You can even do this in the kitchen or in your bedroom before you get ready for a holiday party!” Her final words of motivation were to “keep moving and stay strong… you’ve GOT THIS!”

If anyone knows the power of a simple at-home exercise, it’s Austin, who has been doing them on and off television for decades. She now shares her workouts online, but she used to travel far and wide to film Getting Fit with Denise Austin on ESPN. She recently shared a clip from the program to reflect on her journey and where it has led. “I’ve always believed exercise should be FUN, energizing, and something you look forward to,” she wrote. “Then and now, staying active is my way of life. Age is just a number, and feeling happy, healthy, and strong never goes out of style.”

May that be a sentiment we all take into 2026. Thankfully, there are plenty of more moves where this one came from, and Austin will surely keep us on our feet with them in the new year.
