This Air Fryer Is the Hack to Healthy Eating—and It’s 44% Off Just in Time for Super Bowl Parties

I love Super Bowl snacks, but I don’t love fried food. In recent years, I’ve learned the easiest way to make my own healthier (a.k.a. non-fried) snacks is with an air fryer—and if you’re hosting the big game this year, listen up. The Ninja Air Fryer XL is currently 44% off on Amazon, bringing its price just under $100. So if you’re having friends and family over on February 8, you can make all the (air-) fried food you want throughout the night… and whenever else you’re craving wings.

Ninja Ninja Air Fryer XL

A similar version of this appliance—the Ninja Air Fryer Max XL—was named best overall air fryer by our sister publication, Good Housekeeping, from a brand the Appliances Lab approves of. Sadly, that one isn’t on sale right now.

However, both models have a 5.5-quart basket and various cooking options (air fry, bake, dehydrate, and reheat)—but the Max XL has “max crisp” and “air roast” selections that the XL seemingly does not. In short, they’re very, very similar—but the XL (the air fryer on sale) is just missing a few features.

When testing the easy-to-use Max XL, Lab experts were impressed by the “crispiest and most golden chicken wings” they’ve cooked, which were “juicy and not dry.” They also enjoyed the easy-to-clean, dishwasher-safe basket.

Speaking of the basket, this air fryer is best for serving two to four people, per our experts. That means if you’re hosting a big group for the Super Bowl, you might need to make a few trips to the air fryer throughout the night. Considering the praise Ninja air fryers have gotten in our Lab, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
