  • The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has recalled a dietary supplement from Modern Warrior.
  • The recall is due to undeclared, potentially dangerous ingredients.
  • Here’s a list of impacted products.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a voluntary recall of dietary supplement Modern Warrior Ready due to undeclared ingredients that may pose serious health risks. According to the FDA recall notice, all lots are being recalled after regulatory testing led to the discovery of tianeptine, 1,4-DMAA, and aniracetam—none of which were previously declared.

If you believe you have the supplement that’s a part of the recall, do not consume it.

Tianeptine, which is used in some countries to treat depression and anxiety, is not approved by the FDA for medical use. If taken, it may lead to abuse and/or cause withdrawal symptoms. Some potential harmful side effects include suicidal ideation in people 25 and under, seizures, shortness of breath, stroke, and death.

1,4-DMAA is a stimulant sometimes used in supplements. The recall notice warns that taking it may result in cardiovascular problems, including a heart attack. Aniracetam is a controversial nootropic that some claim helps with cognitive enhancement.

Modern Warrior describes the product as a supplement that “sets you up for success by sustaining your energy through the day while fueling your body with mood boosting nootropics.”

Which products are affected?

Every single lot of the supplement is being recalled. The products are in black bottles with the brand name, Modern Warrior, at the top. The center reads “Body Repair Plan,” while “Ready,” “Mental Clarity,” and “60 Capsules” are written at the bottom. A picture of the label can be found here.

The supplements were distributed online between April 2022 and December 8, 2025.

What to do if you have impacted product

If you have this supplement on hand, the FDA recommends you stop using it immediately. The announcement doesn’t offer guidance about obtaining a refund, but consumers can contact the brand via phone (314-713-1984) or email ([email protected]).
