Naturally, I had to try it out myself to find out. At 28 years old, I don’t have any noticeable wrinkles and fine lines that need addressing quite yet, but I was curious to see if it could help my chronically dry, tired-looking under eyes look and feel better.

When trying the Instant Lift Eye Gel, I made sure to follow the brand’s recommendation for usage: I applied an “apple seed-sized amount” under each eye to clean, dry skin and then kept my face “expressionless” for five minutes to allow it to dry before following up with my regular moisturizer. The first thing I noticed was the texture of the eye product: The gel formula itself felt super silky and lightweight without any sticky or greasy feeling at all—and it also had a really nice cooling sensation that made my eyes feel so refreshed and instantly more awake.
After five minutes, my usually-dry under-eye area definitely felt more hydrated and smoother—but what really surprised me was that I actually did notice a more “tight” sensation, almost like my skin in that area was pulled more taut. That being said, I noticed that it tends to leave a slight white cast or residue where applied, and I can’t really say I noticed a drastic, visible difference in how my eyes looked (though, that may be just because I don’t actually have any noticeable wrinkles and lines).
