Per the FDA’s announcement, the canned soup is being pulled from shelves due to “potential for spoilage.” The FDA gave the recall a Class II designation, which means that consuming the impacted soup “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.” That means you’re unlikely to develop a serious illness or injury from consuming the recalled soup, but it’s still best to avoid it.
