  • Denise Austin shared a series of standing ab exercises on Instagram.
  • If you’re looking to “target your tummy” without doing crunches, these moves are perfect for you.
  • Here’s how to do Austin’s workout.

Want to strengthen your core, but hate doing crunches? Not to worry: Denise Austin has you covered. The longtime fitness pro recently took to Instagram to share a quick and easy ab workout, made up entirely of standing moves.

“These fun standing exercises are a wonderful way to work your core, improve your balance, and boost your energy… no floor required!” Austin wrote in the caption. “Remember… strong ABS helps you stand taller and feel stronger every day! If you only have a few minutes, that’s okay… every bit of movement counts!”

So, want to try these standing exercises for yourself? Check out detailed instructions below—and, as Austin reminds her followers, be sure to “have fun with it.”

Knee lift

Begin standing with your elbows up and your fingers touching. While holding your arms in that position, alternately raise each knee to touch your hands.

Waistline trimmer

Begin standing with your legs apart. Extend one arm to the side and lean in that direction, keeping the other hand on your waist. Continue in this manner, alternating sides.

Tummy tuck knee pull

Begin in a standing lunge with your arms extended in front of you. Bring your back knee forward as you swing your elbows back, then return to your lunge. Complete a full set before switching sides.

Dancing twists

Begin in a standing position with your legs together and arms extended to the side. Jump and twist your feet to the left, landing with your knees bent. At the same time, pull your left hand to your chest, leaving your right hand extended. Continue in this way, alternating sides.
